Akoma FM staff join Calvary Methodist Church for Carols Night Service

Some traditions never fade; they rather get enriched with time. And so, it was with Carols Night at Calvary Methodist Church at Amakom in Kumasi.

The event, which was in partnership with Akoma FM, a subsidiary of Media General attracted many including Management and staff of Akoma FM.

Carols is one of the many avenues that bring the entire members of the Church and Akoma FM together in one harmony. This year’s Carols Night was characterized by beautiful colours and performances. The highlight of the event was the commanding performance by the Choir, singing band and others, who thrilled the entire family with a mesmeric show.

Well done Choir, we look forward to more performances. Another icing on the event was the thrilling and heartwarming performances by our guests from Akoma FM.

The church enthralled the gathering with the dynamics of their music using a lot of crescendo and decrescendo to get across the ethereal christmassy feeling.

The scintillating ensembles of orchestra showcased the virtuosity of the church.

The grandeur of the program testified that each of the singing groups of the church is a bundle of talents, as singers on the day creditably showcased that they have been well trained to bring out their hidden talents in singing, dancing and playing musical instruments.

It was such a moment to be relished for a long time.

The superintendent Minister of the Calvary Methodist Church, Amakom, Rev Dr Henry Ampaw-Asiedu, observed that “Christmas is all about being humble and loving everyone equally “.

According to him, “It is not about wearing expensive clothes and just exchanging gifts. If we are good to one another, it is Christmas every day.”

He stated that the faithlessness of mankind cannot nullify the faithfulness of God.  He has, therefore, challenged Ghanaians, especially Christians, to rejoice in the face of trials, as they would surely overcome their problems with God granting their hearts’ desire at his own divine time.

The Head of Station at Akoma FM, Ransford Nana Asare, was grateful to the church for the partnership.

He was also impressed about the turnout in the church. He reiterated the company’s commitment to continue with this partnership.
