Airport Hills Management denies Ablakwa owns property, confirms he is a tenant

Airport Hills confirms Ablakwa is a tenant, not property owner

Finali Limited, the managers of the Airport Hills residence occupied by Minister of Foreign Affairs and MP for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has clarified that he does not own the property but resides there as a tenant.

The clarification follows a formal request from Ablakwa to Finali Limited for confirmation of his residential status at Plot No. 565, No. 1 Wilshire Boulevard, Airport Hills.

His request was prompted by the Appointments Committee of Parliament, which sought details regarding his occupancy and ownership of the property.

In response, Finali Limited, in a letter dated February 6, 2025, addressed to the Chairman of the Appointments Committee, Bernard Ahiafor, stated that their records confirm the property is owned by Husni Altheebeh, not Ablakwa.

The letter further outlined that Ablakwa entered into a tenancy agreement on March 1, 2017, with Altheebeh, and that a renewal agreement was signed on March 1, 2022, confirming the continued tenancy. The agreement had received the requisite consent from Finali Limited, which manages the property.

Our records show that a Land Title Certificate for the property was issued on December 15, 2017, and registered under Husni Altheebeh. The tenancy agreement between Altheebeh and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, along with Nuhela Seidu, was granted our consent on August 8, 2017. The tenancy remains in effect as per a renewal agreement dated March 1, 2022,” the statement read.

Finali Limited also emphasized that Airport Hills is an owner-occupied community, with a limited number of rentals subject to their approval.

This confirmation comes amid growing scrutiny over the residential status of Mr. Ablakwa.
