The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) Mr Yofi Grant has said that Africa has the ability to produce enough food to feed itself and the rest of the world.
He stated that Africa has about 65% of the world’s remaining arable land, and all required mineral resources for transition energies.
“Africa can not only just feed itself, it can feed the world. With about 65% of the world’s remaining arable land, and all required mineral resources for transition energies,” he tweeted.
“It has remarkably large gas & oil reserves as well. The potential of $38 trillion needs to be unleashed.”

He further indicated that Africa is a massive opportunity for global economic recovery. But it’s agriculture is distressed.
“IMHO current global economics of food trade may be an obstacle to production on the continent. It has facilitated massive agro-inequalities too. Africa ready to change that. Invest”
