Adaklu chiefs, residents back Agbodza’s nomination

The chiefs and residents of Adaklu in the Volta Region have expressed their support for the nomination of Kwame Governs Agbodza as the Minister for Roads and Highways by President John Dramani Mahama.

According to the residents, the Adaklu MP’s nomination is the surest path to improving the roads in the constituency and across the Volta Region.

“We, the Chiefs and the good people of Adaklu, would like to express our gratitude to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for choosing our son, Kwame Governs Agbodza, as the Minister-designate for Roads and Highways. We want to assure the nominee of our support in ensuring he delivers on his mandate as a Minister,” said Togbe Agbobada IV, a Senior Divisional Chief of the Adaklu Traditional Area, during a brief ceremony celebrating the nomination.

“As a constituency, our major challenge is our road network, which is in a very bad state. We believe that with our son in charge of the Ministry now, he will deliver to alleviate our challenges, if not entirely, at least significantly. We know that the road network is a major challenge across the country, but we hope he will do what is needed nationwide while giving Adaklu the attention it desperately needs,” Togbe Agbobada IV added.

Optimism across the Volta Region

Kwame Governs Agbodza’s nomination has sparked widespread excitement across the Volta Region, with many optimistic that it will lead to significant improvements in the region’s road infrastructure.

The Adaklu Constituency Chairman of the NDC, Jerry Ameko, described Mr Agbodza as a compassionate politician committed to excellence. He expressed confidence that Mr Agbodza’s tenure as Minister would result in unprecedented developments in the roads sector while urging a focus on the roads in the Adaklu enclave and the region at large.
