Some roads in parts of Accra were Thursday morning rendered unmotorable for few hours after almost an hour of rainfall in parts of the capital, which has become a hotbed of floods.

Portions of roads in Kaneshie, Mataheko, Dansoman, Spintex, Korle Bu, Obetsebi Round-about, and other parts of the city were the hardest hit.

Although the flooding was not massive, it worsened the already terrible traffic situation characteristic of morning rush-hours as drivers had to slow down to drive through the road

The Kwame Nkrumah Circle, where ongoing construction work occasioned a massive flood that resulted in death of dozens of people in the June 3 disaster, was however, did not experience any flood in the Thursday rain.

At the Abossey Okai spare parts enclave, several shops were also filled with water from the rain that started at about 7:00 AM causing delays in opening of shops in the area as shop owners feared their wares could be at risk.   https://www.facebook.com/v2.3/plugins/video.php?allowfullscreen=true&app_id=&channel=https%3A%2F%2Fstaticxx.facebook.com%2Fx%2Fconnect%2Fxd_arbiter%2F%3Fversion%3D46%23cb%3Df76d0a6022aac%26domain%3Dtv3network.com%26origin%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Ftv3network.com%252Ff23c3ee171f331e%26relation%3Dparent.parent&container_width=669&href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fnewsontv3%2Fvideos%2F1186952461334127%2F&locale=en_GB&sdk=joey
