Abraham Amaliba appointed acting Director-General of National Road Safety Authority

The President of the Republic of Ghana has officially appointed Mr. Abraham Amaliba as the Acting Director-General of the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA).
The appointment, which took effect on January 23, 2025, was confirmed in a letter issued from the Office of the President and signed by Dr. Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President.
The letter explained that the appointment is in accordance with Article 195(1) of the Constitution and Section 13(2) of the National Road Safety Authority Act, 2019 (Act 993).
It further stated that Mr. Amaliba will serve in an acting capacity pending receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the NRSA Governing Board, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
“You are kindly requested to indicate your acceptance or otherwise of this appointment within fourteen (14) days of receipt of this letter,” it stated.
The President extended his best wishes to Mr. Amaliba.
