Eight pupils have died after drowning in Lake Volta at the Sene East District of the Bono East Region.
According to the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), the eight pupils were among 20 pupils who were in the boat traveling from Atikagome to Wayokope.
The accident occurred on Tuesday, January 24.
The bodies have been sent to Atikagome, a fishing community, the Sene East District Director of NADMO, Ibrahim Wudonyim.
