57% of NPP supporters prefer Bawumia as flagbearer for 2028 elections – Global InfoAnalytics

A recent poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics has revealed that 57% of New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters are backing Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to lead the party in the 2028 presidential elections.

Dr. Bawumia who was the party’s 2024 Presidential candidate is the preferred choice amongst Kennedy Agyapong, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Kwabena Agyapong, Brian Acheampong and Francis Addai Nimo.

His closest contender was Kennedy Agyapong with 22%, followed by Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum with 11% while the other candidates collectively secured 11%.

However, with respect to overall support, Dr. Bawumia still emerged the frontrunner with 48%, Kennedy Agyapong garnered 25% and Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum was next with 12%. The remaining candidates collectively secure 14% of the votes.

These results demonstrate Dr. Bawumia’s significant influence inside the party and demonstrates continued support after the 2024 elections.

His role as the previous flagbearer and vice president seems to have cemented his standing as the party’s favoured candidate for the forthcoming presidential election.
