I need to be celebrated; I’m also a legend – Dada KD

Contemporary high-life musician Dada KD says he deserves to be celebrated as a result of his contributions to the music industry in Ghana.

He says his unique stage-performing skill is unparalleled in the country.

“I thrill very well in live performance because that is when you have everybody watching.”

Born Dada Kwaku Duah, Dada KD made the claim on the Star Studded segment of 3FM’s morning show, Sunrise, on Friday.

“I am a legend and I need to be celebrated.”

He called for opportunities from industry players to “give me the platform let me exhibit my talent”.

The ‘Somu Gye’ composer recalled how he just visited the studio after secondary school only to be told to do a “guide song”.

“[With] my first song, I knew I was joking.”

But he said since then he has composed many songs to his credit and can perform “20 songs unstoppable” on stage.

He is out with a new hit – M3few – which he dedicates to his fans for the festive season.

It is a collaboration with Kurl Songx, the first of such for Dada KD.
