NDC serial caller commits suicide over alleged marital issues

A serial caller of the National Democratic Congress said to be having marital problems with his wife, has committed suicide in front of the offices of the United Front Party at Oyoko in the Eastern Region.

The man, identified as Justice Ampofo, was found hanged on a mango tree in front of the office. A picture of a woman, believed to be his wife, and some court documents were found at the crime scene.

According to information gathered by TV3, Ampofo has been appearing in court in relation to the marital problems he has been having with his wife. He is believed to be in his 40s.

His body, which was found by a Police patrol team around midnight Tuesday, has since been deposited at the  St. Joseph Hospital Morgue.

Meanwhile, the Effiduase Police Command has began investigations into the case to establish whether it was indeed a suicide and what might have caused him to commit the suicide.
