NDC-Proforum elects Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley as national president

The Professionals Forum, a pro NDC group has elected former Ghana’s High commissioner to India, Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley as the National President.

The election was held during the group’s 4th summit at Ejisu, which saw former President John Dramani Mahama and his 2020 running mate Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang attending.

The national executives of the opposition party led by the national chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo and the general secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia were also at the summit.

Ambassador Yalley, affectionately, known as Uncle Sam was elected together with six other executives with a four year tenure.

The National Vice position went to former CEO of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Prof. Ohene Adjei.

Dr. Koma Jehu-Appiah and Dr. Benedicta Yayra Fosu Mensah won the secretary general and deputy secretary general, respectively.

Women’s Commissioner position went to Ms Sophia Ama Otabil, whilst the Youth Commissioner settled on Dr. Robert Kofi Doh.

Three people were elected as executive members with special duties.

They were sworn into office by the chief scribe of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah.

The NDC Professionals Forum (NDC-PROFORUM) is an incorporated center left Professionals and Civil Society Organisation that serves as a vehicle for mobilising various categories of top notch professionals in Ghana and in the Diaspora to support the National Democratic Congress. The NDC Proforum was incorporated as a company limited by guarantee on March 6th, 2018.

Being a voluntary social democratic organisation, the Forum’s overarching goal is to bring together some of the best brains in Ghana to offer diversified experiences, professional expertise, and material resources to support the National Democratic Congress to win elections and govern Ghana with the principles of social democracy.
