NDC Polls: Some Fanteakwa executives declare support for Asiedu Nketia

Some Fanteakwa Constituency Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have declared their support for Johnson Asiedu Nketia, an aspiring National Chairman of the party.

The executives, led by Deputy Constituency Organizer William Koranteng, at a meeting with the campaign team of the outgoing General Secretary of the NDC on Tuesday December 6, lauded him for nurturing young talents in the party in the region to take up various positions.

The other executives are Awal Mohammed, Communications Officer and Mohammed Akilu, Former Deputy Communications Officer

They cited Ms Benedicta Lasi, Former Deputy Eastern Regional Youth Organizer from Eastern Region who is now the Secretary General for Socialist International made up of 136 countries, an organization Mr Asiedu Nketia is the immediate past Vice President, as an example of young talents developed by Mr Nketia

They believe that the incumbent National Chair who is seeking reelection, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo did campaign in his own constituency Fanteakwa in 2020 but Mr Asiedu Nketia’s constant visits to the area increased the NDC’s votes.

The NDC will be going to the polls on December 17 to elect national executives as part of preparation for the 2024 general elections.
