At least 269 candidates are expected to be elected for the 2016 parliamentary elections.
President John Dramani Mahama will seek a heavy endorsement from the party’s members as he contests the presidential primary without any contender.
Polls are expected to open at 7:00am on Saturday and they will close at 3:00pm.
The Ghana Police Service has deployed over 21,000 officers for the exercise.
The elections will be conducted by officers of the Electoral Commission of Ghana.
Six constituencies including Ketu South and North Tongu will not have the primaries as a result of impending court cases.
In all, over two million members of the party are expected to cast their votes.
