The Kumasi-based completed an incredible turnaround in a thrilling Division One League zone two matchday 28 encounter, demonstrating their tenacity and commitment in securing a 3-2 win, validating their spot in Ghana’s top-flight league, and marking a significant milestone in their football journey.

Razak Simpson gave WAFA an early lead, but Abubakari Gariba equalised for Nations FC from the penalty spot in the 10th minute.
Following their early domination, Emmanuel Agyemang Duah pushed WAFA back into the lead in the 58th minute of the second half.
Gariba, on the other hand, stepped up once more for Nations FC, scoring the equaliser in the 68th minute and then completing a hat-trick with another penalty goal in the 96th.

With two matches more to go, Nations FC will be adjudged as Division One League Zone two winners, securing their position in the Ghana Premier League for the next season. 2022/23 season.

They join Hearts of Lions who emerged champions of Zone Three a few weeks ago. While the top flight awaits one more team from the Division One, two teams will be expected to join Kotoku Royals who are already relegated.
