Perry Okudzeto says the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Leader never took home any vehicle that belonged to the state.
Neither did he use such vehicles for his campaign, he added.
Mr Okudzeto was reacting to the demands by pressure group ‘Inside Ghana’ that Nana Addo cough up GH¢798,000 for allegedly using vehicles of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for his 2007 campaign.
Speaking on TV3’s New in Brief on Tuesday, March 17, Mr Okudzeto explained that one of the vehicles used by Nana Addo while a minister was registered in 2001 with a ‘C’ number plate, arguing, therefore, how such a vehicle will still be strong enough to be used in 2007.
“It is a total falsehood,” he said about the claims of ‘Inside Ghana’.
He said the country is bedevilled with problems which members of the pressure group must help solve.
“For a gentleman who served his nation diligently, I think the prudent thing to do is to treat [Nana Addo] with some level of respect.”
