Nana Addo tours flood-hit Accra

Presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has toured some parts of Accra hit by heavy rainfall on Wednesday.

The downpour left in its trail dead bodies, mangled vehicles and submerged buildings with lots of property also lost.

A fire explosion at a Goil Filing Station near the Kwame Nkrumah Circle during the rainfall has added to the woes as close to 100 lives have been lost.

Nana Addo was visibly shaken by the number of lives lost.

He, therefore, extended condolences on behalf of his party to the bereaved families.

He called for frantic efforts to find an antidote to the perennial flooding of the country’s capital city, Accra.

Nana Addo was joined on the tour by Former Accra Mayor Nii Egyir Blankson, NPP General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong, Women’s Organiser Otiko Djaba and Youth Organiser Sammy Awuku.
