Muntari heading to Kaizer Chiefs?

Former Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari has rejected an offer from PSL side Maritzburg United and has reportedly decided to join the Kaizer Chiefs.

Muntari’s agent, Sipho Shaven, says the 35-year-old favours the South African Premier League and will decide to play there.

“He has given me a mandate to talk to clubs in South Africa.

“He is very keen to play in the PSL next season,” Shaven told South African media outlet, KickOff.com.

The move to the Soweto side, though, might fall through if the current transfer ban imposed on them by FIFA is not lifted.

The Chiefs have been banned for two transfer windows and until an appeal clearing their name or reducing the ban, they will have to serve it in full.

Other PSL sides SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates have also thrown their hats in the ring to acquire the midfielder’s signing.
