Hearts of Oak have a chance to make amends after a poor showing in the final five games of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
On Sunday, they will face Bechem United in the MTN FA Cup final, a chance for the Phobians to end the season with a trophy.
However, Bechem United coach Kassim Mingle believes his team can ensure that Hearts of Oak finish the campaign trophyless.
He told Akoma Sports on Wednesday that “preparations for the game are ongoing, we don’t want to put pressure on the boys.
“We have played with them in the league so the playing body knows them well, therefore we are doing normal preparation towards the game.”
Some experts predict that the Accra-based team will struggle in this game. Especially given the immense pressure from supporters who are dissatisfied with last weekend’s 4-1 defeat to RTU in Accra.
“We won’t write them off as a result of their poor run of form currently. Hearts of Oak are no pushovers” coach Mingle posited.
He said Immediately they (Hearts) realized that the league will be difficult to win, [they] all attention turned to the FA cup, so we know Hearts will present a formidable side in the final.
“Surely, we are winning on Sunday so I will urge all fans of Bechem to come to the stadium and support us lift the trophy.”
