Hearts of Oak’s supporters chairman, Elvis Herman Hesse, is supremely confident of a win for the Phobians as they take on Bechem United in the MTN FA Cup final on Sunday.
Despite finishing the season outside the top four, Hearts of Oak played admirably in the FA Cup tournament, earning a place in the final after a victory against Dreams FC.
Bechem United, who finished in the top four will be their opponents and Herman believes that Hearts have more quality players which will help them win it.
Elvis Hesse (Supporters Chairman, Hearts) on Hearts MTN FA Cup final chances: “Very confident. We won everything last season and Accra Hearts of Oak cannot go without a trophy this season. We’ve got to defend one of our trophies and Bechem is not lucky. It’s unfortunate that we would have to sacrifice them.”
“I want to assure the supporters that there is no way we’re gonna lose tomorrow. Player for player, we are better than Bechem let’s be very honest. But let’s credit them for a good show this season and I must say that I think Bechem is faster. They have more young players but we are an experienced side. We are far better.”
The final game will be played in Kumasi at 5PM on Sunday. Hearts of Oak have 11 FA Cup titles to their name so far whilst Bechem have won just once.
