The Member of Parliament for the Mion Constituency in the Northern Region, Abdul Aziz Musah Ayaba, has donated food items to the Moslem communities ahead of the Ramadan celebrations.
The donation was done on behalf of Mr Ayaba by his aide, Muda.
The items include 400 bags of sugar, 100 boxes of tea leaves and 50 cartons of milk.
These food items will be distributed to the Imams, Chiefs, Elders, All Polling Station Executives, Council of Elders, Electoral Area Coordinators and Youth Groupings in the constituency.
The gesture also forms part of the MP’s yearly ritual of supporting the Moslems in the holy month.
Beneficiaries of the donation across the constituency expressed appreciation to Mr Abdul Aziz Musah Ayaba for remembering them at this time, which is a special month in the Islamic Calendar.
