Menzgold Ghana Limited has announced that it will open its offices across the country for full operations on Monday, November 5, 2018.
This announcement was contained in a statement released by the company on Friday and signed be its Acting Head of Communications, Nii Amarh Amarteifio.
In the statement, the gold-trading company also hinted of launching a new online platform for trading its products.
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) suspended Menzgold’s operations in September after the company was found to be violating rules governing its operations.
According to SEC, the company did not have the required license to operate in gold trading.
Following the suspension, customers expressed worry over their investments, charging the company to pay back their capital together with their full values.
Although the company had in countless occasions assured the customers of making payments to them, it is yet to do so.
In its latest release, the company indicated that it would inform customers about the date for payment very soon.
“The percentages to be paid will be officially communicated in a press release after a stakeholders meeting scheduled for this weekend.
“All agreed percentage payments will be made via direct transfer into the accounts of all customers who have expressed their willingness to terminate their transactions shortly thereafter,” the statement assured.
The company also assured its customers and the general public of its commitment towards stabilizing and sustaining the company to better serve the customers.
Channel to address grievances
Also contained in the statement, Menzgold said it has come up with a radio and television programme ‘Time with Menzgold’ to address customer concerns.
The programme airs Mondays through to Thursdays – effective October, 29, 2018 – from 11am to 12pm on Zylofon FM, and would be repeated on Tuesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm to 8:30pm.
“This would be the authoritative mouthpiece for the Menzgold Communications Department.”
