Barcelona striker Memphis Depay met Asante Kotoko players on Saturday evening and congratulated them on winning the Ghana Premier League.
Depay surprised the team at their hotel following their final match of the season in Accra, which ended 1-1 against Accra Lions.
Akosua Dentaa Amoateng MBE, an Asante Kotoko management member who has a good relationship with the Netherlands international, arranged the visit.
Depay is on vacation in Ghana after a long season. On Friday, he commissioned a newly built lavatory for students at the Cape Coast School for the Deaf and Blind.
He also met Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo and presented him with a Barcelona shirt.
The former Manchester United player was born in Moordrecht to a Ghanaian father and a Dutch mother, but he chose to play for the Netherlands.
This is his second visit to Ghana following his first trip in 2019.
