Media General, Ghana’s leading Media Company which owns and operates some of the industry’s leading platforms, has launched this year’s edition of its annual Ghana Month campaign.
The month-long campaign is scheduled for March 2020 to primarily project the country and also celebrate indigenous Ghanaian products, services and heritage.
The focus of this year’s campaign is to encourage people to patronize locally made products.
Commenting on the rationale behind the campaign, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Media General, Beatrice Agyemang Abbey, reiterated Media General’s position as a wholly owned Ghanaian business, which has been championing the promotion of local content over the years.
“For us at Media General, we are convinced it is our responsibility as the leading Media Company to project our country and also create the needed platform to help in the promotion of Ghanaian businesses and their products,” she said.
“The media has an important role in shaping the development process of the country and that is what we are using our influence to achieve.”
