Media General bag seven awards at 2nd Nat’l Communication Awards

Media General grabbed seven awards at the second edition of the National Communications Awards.

The event, which brought together players in the media space in Ghana, saw over hundred awards and other honourary awards presented.

Anchor of News@10 on TV3, Grace Hammoah Asare grabbed two honours on the night for being the TV Newscaster of the Year and also for her succinct reportage on the Covid-19 pandemic.

Host of Hot Edition on 3FM, Nana Akua Mensah-Aborampah was adjudged Radio Newscaster of the Year.

The Media Woman of the Year Award went to Portia Gabor, who also took honours for her reportage on the Covid-19.

The voice of Midday News on 3FM, Komla Adom, also received honours for his contribution to Covid-19 education.

New Day host Berla Mundi was adjudged TV Show Host of the Year while the 3FM Drive also won the Radio Show Host of the Year.

TV3’s Covid-19 360, an educative programme that aired during the peak of the Covid, was also honoured.

Other pioneers in the media industry including OheneYere Gifty Anti and Stacy Amoateng also received honorary awards.
