Goals from Richard Boadu and Prince Opoku Agyemang helped Medeama Sporting Club to secure a win over Asante Kotoko at the Len Clay Sports Stadium in week 21 of the Ghana Premier League.
Emmanuel Gyamfi opened the scoring for Kotoko with a header in the 13th minute.
Medeama Sporting Club following had the equalizer after Prince Opoku Agyemang pounced on an error by the Kotoko defence to level matters.
Mariano Barreto’s side had handful of opportunities but were unlucky on all occasions.
Just at the stroke of half time, Richard Boadu’s shot reflected to go into the net and gave Medeama SC the lead.
Medeama held onto the lead throughout the second half of the game to win 2-1.
The win takes them to the summit of the league with 36 points.
Elsewhere at Sogakope Park, Liberty Professionals defeated Berekum Chelsea 2-0 through Amadu Awudu and Abraham Wayo.
