Match-fixing scandal: Kotoko fires back at the Mauritanians

Kumasi Asante Kotoko has accused FC Nouandhibou and the Mauritanian authorities of a deliberate attempt to drag the Kumasi based club’s reputation into disrepute.

In an official statement released by the Porcupines on Wednesday, Febrary 3, Kotoko referred to a document circulating in the media by FC Nouadibou that Muniru Sulley is deeply involved in a match-fixing scandal.

The former Ghanaian campions rubbished the claim while urging ‘everyone involved’ to do help bring the matter to a close..

Asante Kotoko attributed the malicious activity of the Mauritanians to the grieve of the CAF Champion league exit they suffered in the hands of the Ghanaian club after a CAF ruling last month.
