Marseille knock PSG out of French Cup

Marseille eliminated PSG from the French Cup in a thrilling match that saw former Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez score the first goal.

The goal came from the penalty spot after Sergio Ramos was penalised for a foul on Cengiz Under.

Ramos equalized, but Marseille secured the victory with a goal from Ukraine midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi.

Despite the presence of star players Lionel Messi and Neymar, PSG were unable to find another equalizer.

Marseille, who currently sit second in Ligue 1, eight points behind leaders PSG, last won the French Cup in 1988-89.

The two teams will face each other again on February 26 in the league in Marseille.
