President John Dramani Mahama looks very relaxed for a champion who faces a combination of opponents in what is being anticipated as Ghana’s most crucial elections on December 7, 2016.
The defending champion, President Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) faces six credible opponents namely Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo (NPP), Dr. Edward Mahama (PNC), Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings (NDP), Dr. Papa Kwesi Ndoum (PPP), Ivor Kobina Greenstreet (CPP) and Jacob Osei Yeboah(Independent).
With a beaming smile and title belt around his waist during the commissioning of an ultra-modern boxing arena in Bukom, a suburb of Accra, the first gentleman of the land looked very like someone clearly in high spirits ahead of the elections.
Is it time for Mr. President to defend his title?
