Mahama sacks CHRAJ boss

President John Mahama has accepted the recommendations of a Committee set up by the Chief Justice and in accordance with Article 146(9), removed Madam Lauretta Vivian Lamptey from office as Commissioner for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ).

The Chief Justice, Georgina Theodora Wood, set up the committee following a petition submitted against Madam Lamptey.

The Committee has concluded that Madam Lamptey was unfit to hold the position of Commissioner for the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice.

 President Mahama despatched the removal letter before enplaning to Bolgatanga for his #Changinglives Tour Wednesday afternoon.
