
Member of Parliament for Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency who also doubles as Deputy Minister of Defence, Kofi Amankwa-Manu has urged members of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in his constituency to unite for victory ahead of 2024.
He said this during the election of constituency executives on Tuesday May 10.
Elections had delayed as a result of a court injunction placed on the exercise by some aggrieved party members.
On Monday, a Kumasi High Court threw out an application seeking to nullify an election of polling officers in the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency.
Addressing party delegates before polls was opened he said “We need to look beyond the election of constituency executives, and think about the success of our party, the more reason why we need to stick together as one family. Let’s unite to retain power” he said amidst applaud from delegates.
Four positions were contested after six went unopposed.
