Deputy majority chief whip, Moses Anim has urged Ghanaians to nurture a spirit of patriotism towards nation building and join in the fight against corruption in the country. “If we need to see ourselves as Ghanaian then we will be unified under one flag and segregation will end. We will have our personal interest succumb to the national interest,” he added. Mr Anim was speaking at the re-launch of an advocacy group, Patriotic Professionals Integrated that is dedicated to championing patriotism. Formerly known as Patriotic Professional Ghana (PPG), the group of professionals from various fields of profession have since 2014 been spearheading the need for patriotism. Speaking on the theme ‘Mobilise and Empower through Patriotism’, Mr Anim who is also the Member of Parliament for Trobu advised the media against the use of divisive language. He also advised members of advocacy group to tread cautiously in their advocacy activities, and underscored the need for them to conduct themselves properly. “On your road to mobilizing and empowering through patriotism be noted that your professional background plays a critical role. Allow your professionalism to lead the path and stick to your principles”, he urged them.
