Korle Bu reinstates KOSSA leader Offei-Palm

The interdicted President of the Korle Bu Senior Staff Association (KOSSA), Charles Offei-Palm, has finally been reinstated, 3news.com can confirm.

In a letter intercepted by 3news.com, Mr Offei-Palm is to resume duty “with immediate effect”.

The letter jointly signed by the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr Samuel Asiamah, and Director of Human Resource Samuel Akotuah Atweri directed that Mr Offei-Palm be paid “all salaries and allowances lost during the termination”.

Mr Offei-Palm was interdicted last year for bringing the name of the Hospital into disrepute, according to management.

There were demonstrations by members of KOSSA to get their president reinstated but management was resolute on its decision.

On Friday, March 10 after a meeting with the Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyemang Manu, management of the Hospital was ordered to reinstate the Specialist Pharmacist.

After all court issues were cleared, Mr Offei-Palm was written to on Thursday, March 23, 3news.com understands, to resume duty.

“You are directed by a copy of this letter to report to the Acting Director of Pharmacy for assignment of duty,” the letter stated.

Mr Offei-Palm is expected to respond to the letter within two weeks of receipt.
