KMA to decide on nominated Kumasi mayor Friday

Members of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly will meet on Friday, March 17 to decide on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s nominee for Chief Executive. President Akufo-Addo on Friday named Osei Assibey Antwi as his nominee for Kumasi mayor. He had also nominated three others for Tamale, Accra and Sekondi-Takoradi. It is likely the president’s nominee will be approved. The meeting will take place at True Vine Hotel at Adiebeba-Kumasi. If approved, Mr Assibey Antwi, a deputy regional minister in the erstwhile New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, will succeed Kojo Bonsu, who was forced to resign before the end of his tenure.
