Mr Agyebeng, 43, faced the Appointments Committee over his nomination by the Attorney General as a replacement to Martin Amidu, who resigned in November, 2020.
Speaking in an interview on TV3‘s News 360 on Thursday, July 22, Mr Senanu said the nominee was forthright with his answers and, indeed, performed “very creditably” on the day.
“I think Mr Kissi Agyebeng did very creditably [on the day].
“His answers were very forthright. I like his style of not engaging in criticisms that have come from other quarters earlier and dealing with the substantive matters and I think the responses he gave were coherent and the key issues that had been thrown earlier – Agyapa, age [and] experience – he managed to deal with them substantively.
“I think the unanimous confirmation is a good start and let’s see how he works with other stakeholders to deliver on his mandate.”
Within a few hours after he was vetted, Mr Kissi Agyebeng was unanimously approved by the Committee.
This was disclosed by Chairman Joseph Osei-Owusu to journalists.
A report will be prepared for plenary for onward submission to the Attorney General.
