Renowned Political Scientist at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Dr Amakye Boateng has taken a swipe at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) aspiring flagbearer Kennedy Ohene Agyapong over his presidential ambitions.
The political scientist is of the view that Kennedy Agyapong lacks basic presidential skills and qualifications per Ghana’s cultural and moral standards, hence he can never become the first gentleman of the land.
Dr Amakye Boateng was speaking on Akoma FM’s evening political show GhanAkoma Tuesday, March 14.
While discussing the basic characteristics of personalities who Ghanaians vote for to transform the country, he told host of the show Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin that “Kennedy Agyapong must forget about his presidential ambitions because he doesn’t qualify to be president”.
“He has sent all his children to school and live outside and he is here campaigning to be president,” he said.
“Aside that, he doesn’t have the moral responsibility to even lead this country because he is on record to have insulted women and expressed unprintable statements about some people including persons within his own government. So, that man is just not serious. He should forget about his presidential ambitions.”
Dr Amakye Boateng further advised Ghanaians to bestow their trust in a candidate who has political will and a good working plan to turn around the economic woes the country finds itself in.
