
The Attorney General’s office has advised the police to charge one accused person and a juvenile with conspiracy to commit murder and murder in the case of the killing of an 11-year-old Ishmael Abdallah for ritual purposes.
It follows submission of a duplicate case docket to the AG’s office by prosecutors.
Chief inspector Ernest Agbo told an Ofaakor District Court, police has obtained investigation charge statements from the two, Felix Nyarko (16) and Nicholas Kini (19) and forwarded back to the AG’s office for further directions for committal proceedings to commence.
The Ofaakor District Court presided over by His Worship Eric Nanaba Antwi-Boasiako directed the prosecution to follow up on the AG’s office so the trial can begin.
The court adjourned the case to July 15.
Family of the slain 11 year old, are hopeful the advise would come in good time so the trial can begin.
Samed Akalilu speaks for the Mensah Abdallah family. He says they are not entirely happy because they had expected an expeditious trial.
He however said they take solace from the fact there seems to be a greenlight from the Attorney-General’s office for trial commence.
He added the family has faith in the institutions to deliver justice on the matter .
