Incumbent Member of Parliament, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, has lost his seat after serving for two terms.
Dr. Afriyie Akoto had five persons to contest with. At the end of voting, he polled 98 votes.

The winner, Samuel Kwadwo Nuamah, polled 191 votes.
The three other contenders Kingsley Nyarko had 95 votes, Charles Dwamena polled 78 whiles Vincent Frimpong Manu polled 139, even higher than the incumbent MP.
In the Upper West Region, former NPP National Youth Organizer, Anthony Karbo polled a massive 355 votes against his only contender Joseph Dontaa who managed just 63 votes in the Lawra constituency.
