Joseph Paintsil scores fourth goal after Black Stars snub

Joseph Paintsil continued his fine scoring form in Belgium following the shocking decision to leave the latest Black Stars.

The 24-year-old, who has been in excellent form this season, was surprisingly left out of Otto Addo’s 29-man squad for this month’s games against Brazil and Nicaragua.

But the forward demonstrated once again on Sunday that he is one of Ghana’s best players in Europe, scoring a brilliant goal as Genk defeated Royale Union Saint-Gilloise 2-1.

Joseph Paintsil was adjudged man of the match.

His season total is now four goals and one assist.

Joseph Paintsil played for Ghana in the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year, and he helped the team qualify for the 2022 World Cup.

He has won five caps for Ghana since his debut in 2017.
