Former Ghana international John Paintsil has congratulated his former club Fulham on gaining promotion to the Premier League.
The West London club gained promotion back into the Premier League after a year’s absence.
They beat London rivals Brentford to the final place in the playoff finals on Tuesday night.
The Cottagers won 2-1 in an exhilarating game at Wembley.
Ghana defender John Paintsil played 91 times for Fulham and says the club is right back where they belong.
He has also hailed the immense work of manager Scott Parker in the promotion process.
“I think Fulham gaining promotion to the premier league is amazing. They have done so well.
“They had a good campaign. They struggled yet, they performed. They deserve to get to where they are. The Covid-19 dropped their performance a bit but at the end of the day, they were able to overcome and achieve what they got today.
“Big congratulations goes to the manager, Scott Parker. I played with him at West Ham and he is a fighter. He does not joke at all when he is working and I think that is what has pushed him to do what they did.”
