Founder of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM) Christian Kwabena Andrews, popularly known as Osofo Kyiriabosom, says he has congratulated the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for a successful run in the 2020 elections.
Speaking to Onua TV on Wednesday, December 9, the man of God, who also contested the elections, said he found the elections as “smooth, free and fair”.
The official results of the elections are yet to be declared by the Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC) despite promising to release them within 24 hours after polls.
But its Chair, Jean Mensa, says the results will be declared not later than Wednesday at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC).
GUM’s flagbearer is set to come third behind NPP’s Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and National Democratic Congress’ John Dramani Mahama, as per the ballot positions.
But there were reports about complaints by agents of GUM for non-payment of allowances over election day duties.
Christian Kwabena Andrewssaid his party agents do not deserve any allowance as they only worked for one day.
