Abynar Morgan has asserted that she sees no wrong with an artiste inability to write songs. She believes music-making is a learning process.
Mentor Reality Show Abynar Morgan told MzGee that well-renowned musicians do not always write their songs by themselves. She believes that the perception carved by people is not well proven but rather speculations that seem to derail the work of an artist. She shared her thoughts on an artiste inability to pen their own songs in an interview on TV3 New Day morning show.
She said getting someone to contribute a part of a song as she did, does not mean that artist cannot do better. And sees no wrong in such decisions. Abynar has also appreciated the work of song composers in the industry.
“There’s nothing wrong with somebody writing your songs for you because most of the big artist do not write their songs. I wouldn’t feel some type of way if I cannot write songs for myself. And someone helps me. It is a good thing, and whilst they write, I will also be learning. So that I can also write my own,” she said.
The singer’s new song ‘Catch a vibe’ since its release has gained a lot of media and public attention following her recent statement on the difficulty of getting signed into a music record label in Ghana.
Her previous statement started a discussion in which several artists also shared their varied opinion on the issue. She believes that her blunt submission threw more light on the issue. Abynar Morgan is ready to subscribe to the terms and conditions of any management interested in nurturing her music talent.
She said, ‘When I made that statement, a lot of people hit me up. And they knew I was telling the truth. They knew the truth, but they couldn’t say it.”
