The Embassy of Israel across the world has embarked on strike by suspending all diplomatic activities indefinitely.
In a statement on Wednesday, October 30, the Embassy of Israel in Accra said the action is “due to internal budgetary issues between the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Israel’s Ministry of Finance”.
But it assured that the “good” and “long-lasting relations” between Ghana and Israel will not be affected.
The Embassy of Israel in Ghana has oversight responsibilities in Liberia and Sierra Leone as well.
“The Embassy will continue to give services and resume its diplomatic activities in Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone once the internal difficulties are resolved.”
Ambassador Shani Cooper-Zubida is yet to comment on the action.
