“The most memorable moment was when the world’s best broadcaster Komla Dumor told me that I was doing well and he’s listened to me a few times and wanted to encourage me to do more.
“That piece of information he gave me at that time when I was at Citi FM has never left me and on a daily basis whenever I’m having any challenge with my current job as an on-air person at TV3, it hits me and says that, come on, you can do better, give out your best because the world is waiting for you and you can climb any mountain and any obstacle you can surmount”.
Martin Asiedu-Dartey is a young, passionate broadcast journalist with more than 10 years’ experience in broadcast and online journalism.
He joined Ghana’s leading news television station, TV3, in August 2014.
His journalism career also extends to print, having worked as the News Editor for the Weekend Globe newspaper and co-anchored various award-winning current affairs programmes including Eyewitness News on Citi FM.
Martin draws inspiration from the late Komla Dumor of the BBC.
He intends to impact the world by giving fair, accurate and compelling reportage to under-reported issues that affect the underprivileged.
He believes that Africa has some of the world’s brightest brains and, with time, the misconception about the continent would change. This change can only come with dedication and commitment to telling the African story the right way.
