Innovation and science key to ending global challenges – Mo Ibrahim

The Mo Ibrahim Foundation has noted that the only realistic strategies in ending the challenges facing the globe currently are science and innovation.

The Foundation stated these two factors are key in reducing the economic challenges as well as the other issues confronting humanity.

Funding, according to the Foundation in a tweet, is critically needed to develop scientific tools to ending these challenges.

“The only plausible exit strategy for our current global challenges is science and innovation,” it tweeted.

It added: “We need #EuropeanUnion funding for science and innovation more than ever, warn #MIFBoard member Pascal Lamy and Carlos Moedas.”

The Foundation was established in 2006 by Mr Mo Ibrahim, who is an African leader who has used his wealth and experience to develop many regions in Africa to impact lives.
