Inaki Williams showcased his prowess in the Spanish La Liga once again, securing his third goal of the season that propelled Athletic Bilbao to victory over Deportivo Alaves on a Friday evening clash.
Williams not only found the back of the net but also provided an important assist, ensuring Athletic Club emerged triumphant with a 2-0 win at the Estadio Mendizorrotza.
The Bilbao talisman broke the deadlock in the 18th minute with a clinical finish, expertly capitalising on a setup by midfielder Mikel Vesga.
Oihan Sancet extended Bilbao's lead to 2-0 in the 76th minute, sealing their second away victory of the campaign after receiving a well-timed pass from Inaki Williams.
The 28-year-old forward has been a linchpin for Bilbao since the commencement of the 2023-24 season, contributing significantly to five goals in just six appearances, comprising three goals and two assists.
The Black Stars forward is however hoping to replicate his remarkable form in the La Liga when he plays for Ghana as he continues to seek his first goal for the four-time African Champions.
