Some prisoners in Nsawam prison tell how they are changing their lives inside the prison to facilitate a smooth transition back into society on 3FM Drive hosted by Giovani Caleb.

Speaking to a prisoner, currently enrolled in the Business Administration programme offered by the University of Cape Coast, he revealed that he holds HND in ICT using resources available in their ICT centre before registering for his college degree.

“I have been here for almost seven years, and I have six months to come out. He’s also schooling. He doesn’t joke with his studies too. Every night we wake up at dawn to read our books to acquire something good so that, when we come out, we can perform something good out there.

Being here doesn’t mean that’s the end of it. We have not failed. It’s not easy, but if you are able to cope with the situation you find yourself in, you will be able to automate what you want.

Other prisoners, who just completed the Basic Education Certificate Exam (BECE), shared how excited they are to receive their results as they proceed to study General Arts courses in confinement.
