I’m a victim of Menzgold – Kumi Guitar

January 12, 2019

Zylofon Music signee, Kumi Guitar, has disclosed he is one of the thousand customers who have their investments locked up in his record label’s sister company, Menzgold.

But, unlike the others who doubt whether or not they will get their monies, the “betweener” singer is positive that he will get his money when the dust settles.

He had earlier told Johnnie Hughes on TV3’s New Day that he is a victim of Menzgold and again admitted same to Winston Amoah on 3FM’s Sunrise but expressed optimism of getting his money back.

Kumi Guitar, who was the first artiste to be signed onto Zylofon Music at a reported amount of $100,000 said he invested part of his money in Menzgold but would not disclose how much.

He said it was a good investment, so he decided to put part of his money there and made profits.

Kumi Guitar also mentioned that Zylofon Music has been very good for his career and he does not intend to leave the label despite the controversies.

Thousands of customers have their monies locked up in the embattled gold trading firm, following the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) directive for the company to shutdown for trading without appropriate licenses.

The aftermath of the shutdown has been fraught with complaints, demonstrations and agitations leading to the issuance of warrant for the arrest of the CEO of the company, Nana Appiah Mensah, and all the directors.
