I do a lot of multitasking because I have no deputy – Hannah Tetteh

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Hannah Serwaa Tetteh has hinted of being overburdened with work at her ministry as a result of she not having any deputy.

She, therefore, told Kwesi Pratt on TV3’s Hot Issues that she does a lot of multitasking.

“Unfortunately, right now I don’t have a deputy,” she said on the programme over the weekend, “so I am in a position where I am doing a lot of multitasking.”

Ambassador Thomas Kwesi Quartey has been the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration since 2013 but it is unclear where he currently is.

Ms Tetteh admitted that Ghana’s role at international fora may be affected as a result of the many tasks on her desk.

For instance, she denied knowledge of Ghana’s neutral position on a vote at the UN over Palestine.

Until her appointment as Ghana’s Foreign Minister, the Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West Constituency served as Minister of Trades and Industry.
