School authorities and students of Huni Valley Senior High School in the Western Region say they are living in constant fear, as their assembly hall has become a deathtrap.
Walls of the building are filled with cracks and all the pillars have become shaky.
Authorities say the deplorable state of the building has forced the school to have its gatherings outside.
Headmaster of the school, Ebenezer Kwame Anu, has appealed to government to urgently come to their aid as the building has become a timebomb and could collapse at any time.
He wants the government to either renovate the building or construct for them a new assembly hall.
The current assembly hall, he noted, is used as examination centre in the B.E.C.E and W.AS.S.C.E candidates in the area.
He said both students and officials of the school do not have sound mind to carry out their duties as they are always thinking about their safety.
