Hearts of Oak held to goalless draw by Chelsea in Berekum

Hearts of Oak

Hearts of Oak and Berekum Chelsea drew 0-0 in the Ghana Premier League at the Golden City Park on Wednesday, with both teams surrendering crucial points.

Chelsea had the best chance in a game with scant chances, but Henry Ainsu was denied by Hearts’ FA hero Richmond Ayi.

Hearts are now 12 points behind league leaders Kotoko, but the Porcupine Warriors can make it 15 points when they meet Karela United on Thursday.

Chelsea are six points behind Great Olympics in fourth.

WAFA held the Olympics to a 2-2 draw at the Accra Sports Stadium.

After a scoreless first half, Olympics took the lead in the 49th minute thanks to Samuel Armah. WAFA equalised just five minutes later through Micahel Zuo.

Olympics gained the lead again, but WAFA replied again, and both teams left with a point.

Elmina Sharks, who are at the bottom of the league, won their first game since February 7, defeating Eleven Wonders 2-0.

The biggest winners on Wednesday were AshantiGold, who defeated Real Tamale United 4-0 in Obuasi.

Dreams FC and Bechem United played out a goalless draw in Dawu and title contenders Aduna Stars needed a second-half strike by Sam Adams to salvage a point against Legon Cities at home.
